Muscatine 48-Dav North 47 in OT. Muscatine with the steal and Weiskamp with the bucket as time expired.

Was at Senior-Wahlert game. Simply do NOT understand Wahlert rotation. Offensively, they have too many basically shooting guards on the court and no true point guard starting. Defensively, they are slow, slow, slow on the perimeter

Senior looked as good as I have ever seen them. Carter was 80%. The depth of shooting I have not seen before and the consistently taking of good shots was also different. Still, best I have ever seen Senior. I do NOT think they win state but they are a force to be respected.

With Carter back, I don't see Senior losing again, except for the game at Iowa City West next week. I see them beating North Scot to get to state, if they stay healthy. There is something about Senior's lock-down defense that makes Wahlert look really bad. In 2018, Wahlert sometimes looks really good- like when they almost beat Cedar Falls in the last seconds, and did beat Oskaloosa. The Eagles are getting more than expected out of their front court, but the guards remain an enigma. I think they have four adequate guards, but no leader among them, as makelovenotwar said. Maybe that is to be expected with two senior returning starters and two sophs who have more talent. Last night was just an example of an ice-cold shooting team (Wahlert) meeting up with an extremely hot- shooting team (Senior) at home. I mean, Wahlert was 1 for 11 in the first half for threes. And Senior plays much better/tighter defense. I've always said that a team needs great guards to win championships, and Senior has great guards.

Couple of the many interesting scores and a few surprises Friday night:
Pleasant Valley 52, North Scott 29. Anybody know about this one?
Sergeant Bluff- Luten 44, Sioux City East 43
Waterloo East 60, Waterloo West 56 OT
Dub. Hempstead 83, Iowa City 49
Omaha Skutt, NE 67, Glenwood 58 Skutt traditionally very strong
Muscatine 48, Dav. North 47 OT Joe made last shot
Dav. West 47, Dav. Assumption 39
West Delaware 46, Mt. Vernon 44

Anybody know if the flu influenced any games last night, or could some teams just not hit?

The Skutt/Glenwood score is a surprise. Skutt a good team, but not better than the (supposed) #1 team in Iowa 3A. I assume the game was played at Skutt?

That one. Vanderloo and Keck (6th man) were both out with the Flu. East wins with those two, but SBL did a nice job making adjustments and game planning after the first meeting which allowed them to pull this one out in the absence of those two players. Even with Vanderloo and Keck, the pace SBL played at would have kept it a lot closer this go round.
