Been keeping an eye on city high ever since nearly beating North Scott in first game of season. What is the change or diff this season? New coach but wasn’t he also the assistant last year? Do they have new players or transfers?

The senior class at city high has always been pretty good. Obviously it’s tough trying to compete when your best players are not seniors at the 4A level. Keshawn (sorry if misspelled) is also one of the most underrated players in his class around the state. Great athlete who can get to the rim at will

I love to see teams that have been struggling finally get some rewards for their hard work. City High not only has to battle all their opponents, but they deal with so many of Iowa City's best players being at the other schools. They are well-coached and disciplined. And can they ever hit the boards! They win tipping in missed shots on the offensive boards.

If this one has been posted, sorry I missed it, but Keokuk 62, Fort Madison 42. First win for Keokuk over their Lee County rivals in some time, at least three seasons I think.

Xavier Foster has been out several games with mono.

Didn't know about Oskaloosa's Xavier Foster and the mono. Also out with mono is Wahlert's top big man. Sure makes a difference on these teams. And lots of other kids still out with football injuries across the state. Christmas and Holiday best wishes to all the sick and injured players in Iowa and elsewhere that they heal quickly and rejoin their teams in 2020!

Yikes! Mono will take a kid out for several weeks due to an enlarged spleen that accompanies having mono.

I had it while trying to run track as a distance runner and it hit me hard. It took me about 6 months to fully feel like I could run more than 5 miles at a time.
