Thoughts?? I think its a great match up. I will give the edge to RSM because of the tougher schedule. St Mary's wins 45-35.

Don Bosco 48-38. The 5 headed monster is hard to stop. And their defense has some holes but is tough when it really needs to be.

Honestly though will Don Bosco be able to slow Cox down? Impossible to a player like him in 8 man football but can they even slow him down?

Just to throw a monkey in - I'm extremely disappointed in that IHSAA sold out on the TV rights for semis and finals. The girls kept it local and FREE for we the parent taxpayers (to our local schools) while the boys of Boone sold us out. We received an email from our school district's AD as to how to watch the semis and finals on the internet. It only works if you have certain connections, like DISH, etc. It just plain stinks. Who in heavens name has any connection with Chicago? This is Iowa and for the money we spend on our schools, we should be able to watch it for FREE like we used to on IPTV. Every Iowan should email, write, text, call to the boys of Boone and let them know that they screwed up and need to correct it, and stop filling their coffers. I'd wager that the Boone boys / IHSAA doesn't buy the trophies, but they are most likely bought by people like Farm Bureau or Fareway, etc. So they don't need TV rights money for that.

The rights were sold to a local guy, who then turned around and farmed it out to Comcast. It was okay when the games were on local station's subchannels around the state, but the guy thought he could make more by going in with Comcast.

This is year 2 of a 3-year deal, and I assume there will be discussions once year 3 is over.

Are there people who do not have access to Dish? I like the national exposure of the games. I love being in Arizona and are able to watch the games. I also like being in Chicago or Iowa watching the games.

If they are on IPTV, then the Eastern half of the state do not get the games and therefore anyone outside of the state do not get it.

Wrong--------------- There are more IPTV broadcast towers in the Eastern half of Iowa than in the Western. Grab that channel changer and flip over to the local IPTV station.

There are plenty of people for whom satellite is not an option. And virtually no cable companies in 712 or 515/641 carry Comcast/NBC Chicago as the regional sports channel.

IPTV is available everywhere in the state. Over the air. For free.

Terrible decisions, first by the IAHSAA to sell the rights without any conditions, then by IHSSN to sell to a Chicago company. Congrats to them for limiting the number of folks in Iowa that can watch. Ultimately it hurts the sport.

Miraculously, I was able to watch every volleyball tourney game for free! How is that possible? Once again, the girls union doing a better job than the boys. They should be combined like every single other state.
