Don Bosco needs to step up to the plate and play 11 Man football!!!

1) 40+ kids out for football
2) Private School in the Waterloo area.

Won't get into the private school debate, but the 40 kids standing on the sidelines look like athletes, as opposed to other kids who stand on 8 man sidelines who are only out because its the thing to do. They seem like they will be good for years to come.

Doesn't DB have to play 11-man next year? 2 years ago their BEDS number was 114, last year 116, and this year 118. They have played 2 years with higher than 115 numbers.....unless they can show a projection of declining numbers in the future they will need to move up to 11-man

Trust me ,they have way more than 116 or whatever they list. Just like Newman Catholic, Bishop Garrigan, Lemars Gehlen and so on. There just doesn't seem to be an jurisdiction over these schools as far as their BEDS numbers. I'd like an official to walk into Don Bosco high unannounced sometime to take a head count.

All of you clowns read one article somewhere or heard from a guy that knew a guy that knew a guy that some Catholic school in Chicago keeps there enrollment numbers down by rejecting non athletic kids or it offers scholarships or something and then you come on here and say Don Bosco does it. You think we get all the best athletes from Waterloo and you whine that you are pulling kids from 1 or 2 small towns and thats it. All of you couldnt be farther from the truth.

Instead of going by Don Bosco Catholic High School we should rename the school Gilbertville-Raymond. Similar to Adair-Casey or Newell-Fonda.

Don Bosco's BEDS numbers are legit just like all other schools are.

In closing all that really matters is Jake Hogan ran for more yards today then the distance between his house and the high school. The same goes for the majority of the team.

They do have 40 plus kids out. Sorry we can get the majority of the kids in the school to go out for football. Props to coach Yoder for getting that many kids to play and turn this program completely around.

It's like Davenport Assumption. Why should they move up? Look at how much success they're having down here.

Yet another person who heard something from a guy that heard something from a guy that Assumption did something to get and unfair advantage therefore Bosco must have done it.
