Seriously wild game between Osky and Chariton last week! Where has that offense been for Osky? Did Aaron Rodgers suit up for them? Goodness, they easily put up more points then they had in all the previous games, combined. Guess that's why they play the games...

Carlisle at Pella -- Carlisle easily gave Pella the toughest game last year. Carlisle started the year rough, but is on a roll after pulling out the win over Ballard last week. Pella is also on a roll. Pella's passing game will be the difference as Carlisle has given up chunks on pass "d". Last year Pella almost abandoned the pass game against Carlisle. Not so this year. Big night for Clayberg and the slew of big Dutch receivers. Pella 35 Carlisle 10

Chariton at Norwalk -- Well, let the tough part of the season begin for Chariton. Giving up 49 to Osky doesn't bode well for this game. Norwalk will fling it all over the field. Chariton will get yards and points, but will not come close to keeping up with the Warriors. The best way to deal with Norwalk is ball control and jamming the wide receivers. Don't see this happening. Norwalk 49 Chariton 21

Grinnell at Oskaloosa ( (ND)) -- This is usually a very good matchup. Grinnell has been solid this year and put up 60 last week on Nevada. Osky has been not so good, but put up 49 on Chariton. Will either defense show up and slow these offenses down? Grinnell 35 Osky 21

Knoxville at Saydel -- Knoxville is very physical which will be tough for the Eagles to handle. K'ville will control the line of scrimmage and wear Saydel down. Knoxville 45 Saydel 14

Wow, I picked some high scoring games this week, which means it will be a defensive week!

Playoff picks:

1. Pella
2. Norwalk
3. Carlisle
4. Knoxville (big games with Osky and Chariton coming up)

What a huge win for Osky last week. That was at Chariton's homecoming and word is the Chargers came back from like 20+ points down in the fourth quarter to take a late lead and then Osky threw a touchdown with like a minute or less left (wasn't there, just what I've heard).

Pella 42 Carlisle 14 — Carlisle is kind of a weird team to predict, but in their two district games they have been very impressive. I bet they upset someone as a 3 seed in the playoffs.

Norwalk 44 Chariton 20 — Chariton is the opposite of Carlisle. Two worst games were probably their district game. For them, this is probably about figuring out what works ahead of the Knoxville game next week.

Grinnell 42 Osky 14 — I think this could work out as a trap game for Grinnell because they play in a super competitive district where all the games are close, but it might be a let down game for Osky after that huge offensive week last week. The Indians have a tough two weeks before the Knoxville game, which could get them into the playoffs with a win.

Knoxville 35 Saydel 21 — I had Kville tabbed as the fourth playoff team mostly due to their dominating win over Fairfield. Turns out Fairfield isn't as good as we thought. This game might be more interesting than we think. First of three big games for the Panthers that will decide if they are in the playoffs.

Playoff predictions:
1. Pella
2. Norwalk
3. Carlisle
4. Knoxville (But very close. They play Osky at home but Chariton on the road.)
