CR Xavier vs. Sergeant Bluff- Luton

Xavier wins. 54-49. Game blocked in our area, so didn't see, but Xavier came out of toughest substate, then beat Mount Pleasant, Waverly and Sgt/ Bluff Luton, so they couldn't have had a harder sequence of teams to beat. No surprise with all their returning veterans and their excellent coach.

Xavier seemed to wear SBL down. Mims really took over final minutes. Big guy for SB struggled on D as gave up easy baskets in the lane late while SB really had to work for theirs scores. Good game , SB played hard just could get any scoring aside big guy and good guard going to Nwestern.
3 peat for Xavier next year ?

Xavier certainly deserved the title. Tough district, toughest draws at state from upper bracket. In hindsight the coaches or whoever finalized the seedings struck out. WD and Pella as #2 and #3 were way off.
Xavier never looked rattled in overtime vs WSR or late vs SB. Great chance for 3 peat next year.
