Iowa Preps dives inside the Class A football ranks. We look ahead to week two, games to watch, and look back at what stood out to us from other the weekend. Get insider coverage that you will not find anywhere else now!

Game of the Week: Audubon 31, IKM-Manning 13
It is not simply the fact that a team like IKM-Manning was beat even with the talent that they graduated in the off-season. It was the fact that Audubon excelled in all facets of the game and could be a dangerous team if they can stay focused and continue improving down the stretch.

What else stood out:
Game: Underwood 56, Logan-Magnolia 19
Why: Down goes the champs. The loss may not be a huge shock but the lopsided nature of the game was.

Game: South O'Brien, Paullina 14, Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn 13
Why: Making the plays late to get the job done.

Game: St. Edmond 15, Newman Catholic 7
Why: An effort that deserves to be mentioned. The Knights may be more dangerous than people realize if they can move the chains.

Game: Denver 55, Nashua-Plainfield 6
Why: Back to 2014 playoff form.

Game: Dike-New Hartford 28, Gladbrook-Reinbeck 21
Why: It may be a loss but a great learning experience for a younger team that will only get better.

Game: Sigourney/Keota 44, Pekin 12
Why: What happened?

Game: B-G-M, Brooklyn 68, WACO, Wayland 7
Why: Does this offense ever not put up points?

Game: Pella Christian 42, Lynnville-Sully 21
Why: This type of scheduling will pay off.
