anyone see a upset in the first round?

Nevada (6) at Sioux Center (12) Sioux Center maybe? Nevada has to travel 211 miles, 3 1/2 hours, thats a long road trip.

Calpreps (as well as BM) also had ADM beating Harlan before Harlan mercied them....

...lets let the games get played out on the field...and not on a computer compilation of scores.

CLASS 3A

Pod A

Nevada (8-2) at Harlan Community (9-1)

Pod B

Solon (8-2) at Mount Vernon (10-0)

Pod C

Independence (10-1) at Humboldt (9-1)

Pod D

North Polk (8-2) at ADM (9-1)

No upsets in the first round but that might not be the case in the quarters. NP and ADM was a close game the first time as well as the Solon - MV game in the second week of the season.

agree......could be some close ones besides harlan.....believe harlan will win easily...but there are upsets..and it would be a big one....calpreps has it......harlan 38 nevada 13..........last yr harlan won 38-0

8:00 pm CloudyCloudy 36 ̊F 30 ̊F
9:00 pm CloudyCloudy 36 ̊F 29 ̊F
Winds are 9 mph out of the NNE

Hand warmers and foot warmers sold out at the farm store

got down to 41 in phoenix;...nov1, and winter weather....strange....usually gets coldest from late dec through jan.....phoenix has 6 months nice weather, and 6 months of oven heat

some folks stated that adm has some very fast backs, and one is probably one of the fastest in the state in space....but many forget , that harlan has 3 secondary backs that compete, or have competed in track running the 100m dash,,,,d1 halll 10.9......in 200m,,,,birch , and hall all 22 to 24 sec. not sure about sears speed......and big defensive end reiz around 25 sec...the cyclones do have some speed too

hmm, not how BC Moore showed it - Harlan vs. AD 7 10-07-2022 at Home
W * 152.15 42 7 3A 3 (10- 1) Adel ADM 22.87 12.13
His puter showed a projected 12.13 point win, the score ended as 42 - 7, so HCHS over performed by almost 23 points. instead of projected 12 points. oh well - - - -

No need to check Calpreps for this matchup.....it happened on the field and Lewis Central won.

Sports belong on the field....not in a compliation of winners and scores.
LC 30-27 over Harlan on 8-25-2022. Down goes Harlan. Bet on it!!!

No that's what it shows now - after knowing the results of the game. If you look at it before, it had ADM favored http://ia.bcmoorerankings.com/fb/2022/week6/TeamSchedules/Harlan.html

You are correct. Prior to their first matchup ADM was favored. His current projection of a 12 point Harlan win was accurate Friday......but the computer missed the first game (including who would win) by a mile.

Common sense should have given it away he was using a current model by the records listed.

anyone hear anything about the QB, Rhomberg from Mount Vernon? He got hurt at the end of the semi game and didnt come back in.

the humbolt player landed right near his rotator cuff, and he was a big guy, over 300 and tall. after the play, they showed a replay of it, and i thought, wow, if his shoulder did not get damaged, he would be very lucky....i have not heard any updates on his health for the game...

harlan has some injurys in the adm too, and one player may not return. adam hall, the d1 iowa recuit and probably the cylones best player, hurt his wrist. at the end of the game, u could see him trying to shake his wrist, not good....another cyclone, curren, another good cyclone defensive back and reciever, left early in the adm game, maybe 1st qt. the anouncer that did the game, said his finger was not pointing in a normal position, so i doubt he will return.. harlan also had a defensive back that needed attention towards the end of the game, ,,but he did walk off on his own power, and not sure about him either....

Adam Hall?

the humbolt player landed on mt vernons qb shoulder, Rhomberg

cyclone adam hall did not leave game, but a few plays from end of game after one play, you could see him favoring his wrist....

cyclone curren left the game,,,his finger not sticking in a normal postion...did not return, 1st period

cyclone starting defensive back, was looked at laying on turf towards end of game....he did get up, and left game..he did not return

Aiden Hall for Harlan is playing.

Rhomberg the Mount Vernon QB is not.

But, Mt. Vernon up 23-7 over Harlan late in the 3rd quarter right now.

yea, hall playing, he wrist was taped heavily from injury last week...cyclone curren played defense, but did have a cast on his arm, and did not even play offense..rosenburg indeed out....mt vernon played tough, was impressed with their defense...thought for awhile mt vernon had this one ...cyclones had 2 fumbles and 2 interceptions, lucky to win

next year harlan has massive rebuilding hitting them in the face, with only 3 underclassman on offense and defense..harlan fans have been spoiled with this group of seniors, very good

was off work thurs and fri....so i got to watch all the games in the finals, some of them i just watched parts of the game, and others the entire game. it started thurs, with 8 man....

i wanted lewis central to win, but xiavier just too tough...i dont know how they are so good year after year...u think they would have a off year at times
