I noticed this morning that a team's full schedule is no longer listed on the BC Moore website, only completed games.

Does anyone know if this has been happening all year or is this new? Personally, I liked seeing the whole schedule.

Never mind - must have been a temporary glitch or something. Full schedules are back

Not sure where I caught the processing, but it is very flattering that they have Alburnett at #4! Reality is that there is no way we are the 4th best team in the state this year and there is no way that EdCo is #2. The Pirates are a good team, but they need to figure out what personality they want to portray. Do they want to be an uptempo team that has demonstrated success or do they want to be a slow, controlled multi-pass team that allows for their weaknesses to be exposed?

Yeah I noticed that the "latest" rankings seem to have a different calculation ("modified rankings") and have completely different standings than week 2. I realized that the "latest" rankings are unbiased, meaning they don't take into account last year's results (if I understand correctly), but the different modified ranking scores made me wonder what the calculations are now.

Kind of related to this thread, which is why I didn' start a new one, I have a question. I realize that BC Moore isn't perfect, but I noticed a quirk.

I noticed that the site updated this morning. In it we, Baxter, are still rated behind Meskwaki. However, we have a similar record (we're 7-4, they're 8-5) against a much tougher schedule and have beaten them twice. I get that some of it is based on scoring averages (we score more, but also have a higher pts allowed).

Any idea if that scoring average would be enough to offset the schedule strength and head to head sweep?

It takes into account more than just scoring and averages , it also looks at the teams that you played and their results. So you may have the same record but the competition can be a factor and what they have done. Honestly, its a statistical model and you have to look at it with a grain of salt per se.....
