Is Rockford just that bad or has Central City improved that much? Watching Central City last season they might have been the worse 8-man team I've ever seen and I doubt their new coach could be making that big of an impact, he doesn't seem that impressive from what I've heard of him.

Saw highlights of the game from the Mason City tv station, I would say that Rockford is that bad, but Central City didn't look terrible.

It looks like quite a few teams really struggled their opening week. Looking at the week zero scores, there weren't many close games.

We will see how improved Central City is this week. They play HLV.

Central City will have their hands full. HLV showed great balance offensively against Springville and their defense bent at times, but only broke once late in the game surrendering a field goal. Another vintage Warrior football team that has an identity and sticks to it.

I think the answer to your question is both.

I think CC will continue to improve under the new coach. However, I am not sure if they have had enough time to get better to really compete with HLV. I definitely don't think you can assume you are going to win against these guys anymore. My guess is they will probably compete against HLV for a quarter or two but HLV is too much of a powerhouse.

Also, I have only heard good things about the coach and it is night and day comparison between the previous coach and the new coach.

Score was similiar to springville/hlv in the end, but a much better game. It was 8-8 after the first quarter unlike 30-0 vs the sporioles. 24-8 at half. Good first half but hlv size and strength was too much in the 2nd half.

Speaking of Central City football......didn't they have their football field redone last year? How does it look? Anything special?

They did put a new field in last year, but I heard there was something wrong and they are playing their games at Cornell. The person I was talking to did not know what was wrong, or if it was just for the HLV game or all the games. Asked a few other people and no one knew what had happened. I dont know if any CC people can fill in the information.

My guess is they didn't want to ruin the grass on the new field because of all the rain on Friday.

As far as I know, I haven't seen it in person but I heard they got a new track, bleachers, press box, and scoreboard. Plus they added fencing around the whole field. My guess is it is no where close to Linn-Mar's new stadium but it is probably pretty good for a small school.

Only 42 points against Cedar Valley Christian.
This week they lost by 2 points to Kee High. The past 3 three years they have lost to Kee High by close to 50 points each.

Continue to put them down because you are scared your team is going to get beat by them. However they are improving.

This is the most down Kee High has been since they started playing 8Man. So a 2 point loss is better but not a huge improvement as you are making it sound.

Every team is improvin
