Very physical game. SEP reminded me of a little better version of CR Prairie. Definitely didn't go down without a fight.
SEP is a really good football team and the story of the 2018 playoffs. They validated why rpi worked.
Would love to know what the attendance was. Might have been the highest attendance ever for a semi-final game. Or at least challenge that Valley vs CF 1999 semifinal for that distinction. Very good looking crowd size tonight. Better than most UNI games these days sadly.

The SEP O-Line was very good last night, but couldn’t get people out on Jack Campbell enough. CF D-Line hung in there and that was enough. You can’t be one-dimensional and beat this CF team.CF’s offense took awhile to get going but wore them down in the second half.
A lot of people, but not near full, even with CF and SEP people in the building. But a great crowd nonetheless. Exciting OTs
I thought for sure Bettendorf was going to make it, until the channel I was watching switched the game in the 3rd OT to basketball
franky, that is the funniest thing I have read in a while. I would tossed my lamp through the TV.
I was mad, my wife was mad that I was mad. She couldnt believe it either. That was a good game. It was like the OJ Simpson verdict was about to be read and the screen went blank!
The thing is I watched every Semifinal Game Friday up until Bettendorf scored in the 3rd OT In a game that will be talked about forever. Now I cant tell anyone what I really seen.
I agree SEP one-dimensional....I think they almost would've had a better chance had they not even attempted a pass (until the end). CF talent/physique at WR unheard of in Iowa HS lineups. Not a fair fight when SEP's top corner was a 9th grader trying to keep up with Wolf. I've felt Gavin Williams has been the most overrated player in 4A this year....until Friday night. He finally played like a man instead of a mouse. Best team won, but still proud of the Rams.
For obvious reasons I am way excited for Friday. The CF D has faced Cael Boyd and Ankeny, Carter Bell and Darien Porter, Keegan Simmons, the vaunted Waukee offense, and Gavin Williams. They’ve held their own or much better in each game. Bell got the better of them but still couldn’t win. One more, please...
He was more of a bruiser than Simmons too, for sure. I liked him too, but he didn’t go off like SEP would have liked. Once down 20-12, that was it
Tavian Banks vs. Tim Dwight was the best game I've seen, but CF and ICW going to OT in the finals is right there.
