Which school has been the best 8 man dynasty since being started up in Iowa? Many competitive schools out there. Just wondering what everyone's thoughts were on this. Also, good luck to all teams competing in the playoffs! Gotta love this time of year!

Have to go with either Armstrong Ringstead when they were still playing or Lenox. Armstrong making it to the finals an impressive 4 years in a row, winning two state titles. Lenox making it three years in a row and 4 times in a 6 year span, winning the state title once in those trips.

I gotta go with Don Bosco they have nothing but pride with a winning dynasty there, they're the best school in the state with the best players too. They have produced some of the top players the last couple of years and should have 3-4 state titles but luck wasn't on our side

Jeffy is just some Bozo trying to start s--t. TP is right, takes more than one title and four straight district titles to start dynasty talk. Bosco wrestling on the other hand, that's dynasty. Football has a ways to go yet, but a very solid start.

I agree. Bosco has been solid since joining the class but to get on the level of the couple teams I threw out there in an above post they have a long ways to go. Those two teams have been as close to a dynasty in the class as it can get I would think.

Not that familiar with most of the teams. Tri-County went down to 8-player 8-10 years ago, first 4 years, 5 losses, I think three of them to Lenox, only got by them once that I recall to make it to the semi's. Lenox looks like they are still doing pretty good so could be a contender for best dynasty. DB could be in a few more years.

If people are bringing Don Bosco into the mix you've gotta throw NF and MMC in there too. Definitely agree with the Armstrong and Lenox posts. Always had good teams that made a run for the title. Lenox could do it again this year.

Armstrong had the best 8-Man dynasty before they bumped up a class. The old district 2 used to be nasty with GT, NSK, and Armstrong. Hard to believe they don't have more success now that NSK and Armstrong are together.

I'd agree. Adair-Casey had a dynasty in 8 man as they were the top in the class for several years. I believe they have had some coaching changes since then and haven't enjoyed the same success.

Adair-Casey

Armstrong-Ringsted had an dominant 5 year stretch from 2007-2011. 2 state titles, 2 runner ups, and a semi final appearance. Don't know if 5 years is enough to call them a dynasty though, Lenox was also very, very good during that time. Adair Casey always seems to be in the mix as well.

Armstrong has to be considered a dynasty in this class when they had their unmatched run from 2007 till 2011. With the frequency of teams going up or joining with other programs, we wont see the normal consistency in the class that you will in a 3A with Harlan or 4A with Valley or Dowling. Teams maybe only be around for 10 years before they are forced to join with neighboring districts. Armstrong in my books is in a class of its own for 8 player when we talk dynasties. No other school can even come close to what they did in that 5 year stretch.
