I guess the one thing that strikes me is how big the drop off is from Bettendorf (#5) to Johnston. I am basing that on rating as I have not seen Johnston play, but Bettendorf is a solid, solid team as are #1-4. I suspect nearly everyone on this forum would take #1-5 and give someone the field in a bet on eventual title.

My other thought is that #12 to #16 are really so-so teams. That whole District 7 is just not that solid (PV and Hempstead) and I suspect #12 to #20 is more or less the same.

Mr. Moore - As I am always interested in the outliers....what teams make up the 13% in Class 4A? (e.g. who had the late season surges or surprised in the playoffs?)

If you look at the link, there has never been an outlier in 4A. The 87% figure is for all classes.
