I propose we rename "At Large" to "The Harlan Back Door".

Is at large so that Harlan can gets on the list?

How in the world does Loefelbein(sorry for mispelling), Dayton Ross and Benshoof not make all district at RB? So that a Harlan kid can get on there? And a LB that misses two games gets unanimous....don't get wrong I am assuming it's due to respect but.....

All on the coaches. Have seen a lineman get district lineman mvp(separate vote) get 1st team all state and 2nd team all district because he wasn't a senior. Political all the way around.

Yeah. I see it now. A player that doesn't make unanimous all district cannot possibly make all state? Only if you play for Harlan. Amazing so many other deserving backs in the state. Crazy

You can't use the INA's selections, they are horrible and without any thought. Wait and see who the Register picks.

Lastly I agree picks can and are based on prior years performance which is very unfair, seen the same thing happen in basketball and baseball.

they had 5 INA beat writers show up and vote and coaches from Urbandale and Ankeny were there to only help in answering question about players. Unfortunately Josey did not make first team however 4 Urbandale players did make first team all big 10
