Iowa City West takes down Waukee and Cedar Falls tops West Des Moines Valley. CF beat West in the regular season by one point, but I would think that West wins its fifth state championship in the last seven years. They have also reached the state finals six of the last seven years. Should the IHSAA impose a muiltiplier on this public juggernaut? Coach Bergman is a great coach, and he'll have to find a way to stop A.J. Green.

This is the final I was hoping we would get. Even with his quiet second half last night A.J. Green has been fantastic all week. This West team has looked very good but also a little more beatable than in years past. Then tend not to lose games when we get to the state tournament though. Can Cedar Falls knock them off for a second time this year? I guess we will find out. Should be a great game tonight.

Nah, I suspect with the opening of IC Liberty in a couple of years it will be a moot issue.

I think the over/under number is 28 points for A.J. Green. 28 or more, CF wins. If IC West holds him to less, could be tough for CF to win with all of ICW's weapons.

For anyone who saw the first game, what's been the difference tonight? CF has looked very comfortable tonight and West has not at all. Did CF play man the whole time in the first game?

CF certainly had the 36 points from AJ Green first time around, but little from the supporting cast. Since then, the supporting cast has somewhat come of age and grown up.

As the season went on, Cedar Falls went from a one-man team to a complete team of good players. Congrats to the Tigers on their first state championship, in convincing fashion. Great tournament, from Class 1A to 4A. Four first-time champs in all the classes. Refreshing.

CF never even considered that they could lose that game. Came out from the opening tip off with an intensity West never was able to match. A.J. Green is a stud, going to be a great player at UNI. He ran the show but had a great supporting cast backing him up. Even though the game didn't end close it was still fun to watch those guys do their thing tonight. Very worthy champs.

AJ Green is the reason they compete with the Top teams, but Logan Wolf is the reason they won this tournament. He looked mediocre at best in the 2 games I saw him before the tournament. One being the Hempstead game to go to state. In the tournament Wolf was on another level and much more aggressive to the rim. If he played like that all year, which was with the same tenacity that Green plays with, they would have probably been undefeated against Iowa teams.
