I have to say I was pretty impressed with Cedar Falls ability to go that distance and score on the end of it.

In years past CF would have settled just to get the ball out of the End Zone just to punt. I think CF's coaching staff has really shown its ability to take calculated risks.

I can understands Prairie's frustration, giving up the long drive and in the end and not being able to stop Wolf from beating them. They had him double covered all night.

The sad thing is, reading in the Gazette that the officiating made sure they got what they wanted

I dont think any officiating crew goes out of its way to make sure that one team has a advantage over the other.

Cedar Falls had penalties that killed drives as well. The final score was not a Indication of how the game really was.

“I dont think any officiating crew goes out of its way to make sure that one team has a advantage over the other.”

Particularly at the high school level! It’s one thing at the major colleges and the NFL where there is major betting going on for games, and betting lines from Vegas. But he’s making this crew out to be the Tim Donaghy crew (sorry, old NBA reference for those that don’t know) of Iowa high school athletics, which is pretty farcical to me. I think he allowed his emotions to get the better of him.

Well, from what I heard, that seems to filter down. Evidently lots of trash talking by Prairie last night. The player who hit Loecher late was involved in about 3-4 scuffles during the game, any of which could have resulted in ejection. You can’t let that go. Coach needs to pull him for some plays. And this is high school, so my default thinking is that he is a good kid who plays hard. But that’s how people get hurt for no good reason.
