4A SCOREBOARD - WEEK 8

Big play passing game hurting the Dodgers. That's been their weakness on D.

Dodgers stopped on 4th and goal. Another missed opportunity after a bad snap on a punt by Waukee.

Dodger defense stepping up though. Getting another stop and then making a few big plays of their own to cut the deficit to 28-21.

I'll let the media update explain that one.

Dodgers avoided trouble as they had it inside the redzone and fumbled a snap for a loss of about 13 yds, but a couple big catches by Trey Mosley gave the visiting Dodgers new life and Cook ran it in a couple plays later.

Waukee misses a FG with just over a minute and a half remaining. On the ensuing possession, Bice throws an interception on 3rd down. Waukee with the ball now on the 21. 35 seconds to go....

Waukee redeems themselves, knocking through their second late field goal try with 8 seconds left.

Dodgers last gasp comes up short and Waukee survives, 31-28, to win the District 4 title.

Unfortunate end for the Dodgers after a great comeback.
