Any ideas who will contend to take home the top 3 Team Places this year in class 4A.

 

[On Wings of Eagles]

Just going by memory from last year of potential returning talent:

1st/2nd Waukee & Linn Mar = Depth vs Top end talent.
3rd up for grabs = Johnston, CR Kennedy, IC West, Cedar Falls
Never count out Valley based on population.
I might be forgetting someone.

Things happen from season to season though; Injury, move-outs, move-ins, good athletes joining in that haven't been there before, etc.... It's a matter of recruiting & cultivating talent and filling holes for a lot of programs at the larger schools rather than waiting for a talented class to come through together.

Anyone know how many teams take home team trophies. I thought it was 2 but I may be wrong.

It's been 3 for a few years now. Not sure what difference it makes but it's a nice way to recognize a good effort. Remember the relay trophies? Did away with those when they went to 8 place scoring and medals.

Linn-Mar, Waukee, IC West. That's my pre-season predictions. Again this may not be what I say at the end of the season based upon, injuries, etc but looking to the possibilities that's my guess.
