Final from the US Cellular Center: Dubuque Wahlert 50, Waverly- Shell Rock 45. Defensive battle all the way, but Wahlert came from behind at the end. Wahlert to state for record 27th time. Waverly played their hearts out and will have a great team next year also. Austin Pfyfe 20 points and Epley 12. Pemsl 18 for Wahlert and Riley Till 12. I knew this would a tight game.

Spirit lake got out to 26-7 lead, Kriener picked up second foul, went to the bench, WC went on 17-1 run to cut lead to 27-24 at the half. Kriener scored 21 in second half finished with 31. He made all the plays and freethrows down the stretch. WC showed why they led 3a in 3 or FG %. Gutsy senior laden group that had a great season and finished 20-3

Just got this stat from buddy in Spirit lake. Kriener shot 30-36 in the three playoff games which is 83.3%. He averaged 27.4 pts in the three games. And idiots on this site talk about people choking. #stepping up.

Playing vs two really bad short teams and one decent at best short team
The line scores vs WC Hull and their big kid were more telling

Perry - Glenwood was just a fantastic basketball game. Both teams left it all out on the court. Huge props to Perry kids stepping up after Shammond Ivory fouled out and finding a way to get the win.
