2A-District 6 Thread

Any District 6 folks out there? This has got to be one of the weakest districts based on last year's results, with only one of the 7 making the post-season last year. But there are a couple teams dropping down from 3A. I think anybody could finish anywhere, except I expect East Marshall to finish last. If I had to pick anybody to finish first, maybe South Tama, mostly because it is a bigger school, and it looks like they have a good core returning.

New coach at Roland-Story, interested in seeing if the Norse can bounce back from a 2 win season. I do expect South Hardin will be much tougher than in years past. Not sure if they can crack the top 4 tho.

I'm not going to be the guy that starts a thread "District 6 Finish order" Discuss.

I'll throw this out there with nothing to base it on other than last year's results, and returning players.

I'll pick HD, Hudson, RS, SH, Grinnell, Union

And I see AP already lost to DNH on Thursday night 27-7

appears it will be a long year for the Norse. Is SH a supposed to be any good, put a good ol woopin on RS.

I'll take a stab at finish order for the season.

1.) South Tama
2.) Union
3.) A-P
4.) Iowa Falls
5.) Roland-Story
6.) South Hardin
7.) East Marshall

After just week one - a week which saw heavy rains and sloppy conditions - there is still not much clear. My thought coming into the season was that this would be a two horse race, but more needs to be seen.

I think STC and Union battle for the title, AP will finish 3rd but are a ways from the top 2, South Hardin and Iowa Falls battle for the last spot, Roland Story is a long ways from the playoffs, but a long ways ahead of East Marshall.

I'll take A-P, South Tama, H-D. As a R-S partisan, I'm not going to pick that last game. Just like ISU games, I let my fandom get in the way of my brain when it comes to picking scores.

R-S played a nice game against CMB last week, but that may have been a little better matchup based on the folks on the field. Union looks to be closer to South Hamilton, which R-S had more trouble against. Union has some hosses up front. I suppose Union should be the favorite. Long bus ride tho, wouldn't be shocked if the Norse got the W tho.
