2009 out in quarters to harlan NO DOME
2010 blown out in championship by Solon DOME
2011 out in first round to harlan NO DOME
2012 blown out in championship by decorah DOME
2013 won DOME

I think that is 8 years but I ain't smoking what you are. I think that would be 5 out of 8 and two of those losses are to Harlan. So that's twice that Harlans beat them and before 2012 sans the wegher years it's been about even.

This is one of the best. I hate saying this because Heelan has a great program and is getting better but take mr. wegher out of that mix and I don't believe that it's even any longer. Harlan takes 2 of those games.

We get to take the best players off the teams. Sounds legit. Take the Hoch brothers out of the mix and I don't believe that it's even any longer. Heelan takes at least 2 of those games.

I would never have thought a series like this could even be close to even. There are just too many factors that would lead to this being a lopsided series. Good work in keeping it close.

I am saying Harlan has beat Heelan once without a Hoch on the team. And if I had to pick one player from the 3 to have on my team, I would choose Dan. I thought you were trying to make hypothetical of taking the great players off the great teams. Like saying "We would have beat City High if it wasn't for Tim Dwight." "Keokuk would have never won a championship without James"

Yes. That's 6 years of having a Hoch on the team. Both played/ play at Missouri and 1 is in the NFL. Kinda like AP, some schools have been blessed to have great talent come through. 2 very good players you can build a great high school football team around at any level. Wegher was flashy. Matt was a sure 4-6 yards right up the gut dragging/ running people over. The Hoch's could dominate sides of the line. Pretty impressive. And yes, it was for 6 years.

Matt was a surge 4 - 6 yards? I'm thinking more like 12 - 15. Dan is no longer in the NFL after not making it with Jacksonville. Matt has a shot and right now is ranked the 6th best DT in the SEC...so that makes him the 6th best DT in the nation

Yes, a sure 4-6 yards. If you needed 4-6 yards he was close to a sure thing. Would he get you more, you bet. That's a football player right there. Never seen a team march up and down the field so well running fullback dives 90% of time.
