Q&A with Panorama wide receiver Klayton Bremer

How did the high school football season go overall?
“We had our ups and downs. It was challenging at times due to injuries to our best players, but we did win a few games.”

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“I am currently dual-sporting for the spring in track and soccer. I also compete in 7-on-7 football with Apex Air. I work out five times per week with weights and conditioning. I love weight lifting and it helps tremendously with performance on the field.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“We have some key veteran players coming back, which should help with our leadership and success. Having our junior QB, RB, and WR returning to our offense will help us a bunch and 3/5 o-linemen back. Also returning two of our top tacklers will help hold the defense down.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“We are moving to Class A next year and have several teams we have never played before. I think we should have a fairly even playing field in our district.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“Brock Nattress, RB/CB, South Central Calhoun 2024, because he is a dual threat running back with several scoring runs and a playmaker on defense.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes. I’ve had a love for football since I was very young and plan to play football in college. Growing up going to Iowa State games and looking up to those players has made me want to be the player that all the little kids look up to.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Central College, Northwestern College, Graceland University, Simpson College, Wayne State College, Drake University.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“Central College, Drake University, and Northwestern College.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have been on game day visits to Central College, Northwestern College, Northwest Missouri State University and Oklahoma State University.”

Do you have plans for any trips soon?
“I have college visits set up at Central College, Northwestern College and Simpson College so far, and plan to get to Drake University and Wayne State College, yet this spring.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Oklahoma State University because my dad went to college there and Barry Sanders is one of my favorite players ever.”

Q&A with Valley offensive tackle Braylon Jenkins

How did the high school football season go overall?

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“Currently I am in my track season where I throw shot put and discus. I am also staying committed to lifting and football workouts during the offseason. I lift four times a week, do 2 speed training a week, and 2 offensive lineman training a week.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“I think Dowling or Southeast Polk will be our toughest competition this season. The Valley/Dowling rivalry is always fun and intense. Both schools really want to win that game and have bragging rights for the year!”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“I think the toughest individual player we face this season is SEP's running back CJ Phillips.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I plan on playing football in college. I am hoping to play for a D1 school however I am open to playing for a smaller school as well. I want to play for a college or university that will help me grow as both a player and a young man.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I have had very close communication with both Iowa State and the University of Iowa. I have also been in contact with Kansas State and University of Nebraska (I am visiting those schools in the next couple weeks). I have also been recruited by many smaller schools and am excited to get out to visit Wayne State, UNI, Iowa Central, Minnesota State, and Grandview...just to name a few.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“I haven't had my visits to Kansas State and Nebraska yet, but I would say the University of Iowa has been recruiting me the hardest. I have gotten to know Coach Niemann really well throughout this process and absolutely love him.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have been to both Iowa State and the University of Iowa (many times). I have also been to Grandview which was great! In the next few weeks I will be visiting the University of Nebraska, Kansas State, and Wayne State.”

“I answered that in the previous question, but I am going to Kansas State, University of Nebraska, Wayne State, Iowa Central, and then the University of Iowa again at the end of the month.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I would definitely say that Iowa State University was my favorite college growing up. My grandpa, my uncle, and my mom all went there. My parents have had season tickets since I was two so I literally grew up going to those games. I still go up there each and every Saturday when there's a home game. Q&A with Camanche wide receiver Josh Wiersema

How did the high school football season go overall?
“It was pretty solid. I felt like I had a good junior season coming out as a Wr/db and gained first team all-district and all-eastern Iowa. However, we got the 4th seed in the district and lost to a stacked Williamsburg team which went on to be 2a runner up.”

Cam……what a piece of work.

Well, at least I can say he never beat us, what say you Bama? 😏

“Yeah, people have hinted towards to say like, ‘Cam, we want you to go back to the 2015 clean-cut Cam,”” Newton told the host. “But that was a different me. Right now, where I’m at, it’s about embracing who I am.”

The host was shocked by the claim and asked directly if he thinks he has been blackballed because of his hair.

“There was hints towards it,” Newton replied. “And the thing that is always mentioned is, ‘Cam, you scarin’ people the way you look.’ And I would say, yo, like I’m not gonna name names, but there’s other quarterbacks that’s in the league that don’t look like me, but they got long hair. They don’t scare them, do they?”

Franklin Graham’s spot on.

Not an evangelical myself but we share a common belief in our Redeemer.

“Our country is spiraling in a heap of confusion and lies,” Rev. Graham wrote to his 10 million Facebook followers.
“As a nation we have turned our back on God and His Word, and we are seeing the results. Violence, crime, and suicide are rampant,” he declared.
“What a thrilling, glorious thing it would be to see the leaders of our country today kneeling before Almighty God in prayer,” Billy Graham said.
“What a thrill would sweep this country. What renewed hope and courage would grip the Americans at this hour of peril.”

Uhh.. yep, Amen brother
