Team Strengths:
Senior leadership, shooting, and balance
Question Marks:
Post play
Overview:
With four starters back from a team that went 17-6 overall and 7-3 in
conference, things look good for Postville. The Pirates have leading
scorer Nick Zieman returning as well as a strong senior class. This group
of athletes have played a role in the success of the football team as well.
Zieman was the only player last year that averaged double digits for this
balanced offensive team. He ended the year scoring 11.8 points per game
and had a knack for finding ways to score. Blaine Grinna, Andy Livingood,
and Corby Friederich all scored above six points per game and knew their role on
both ends of the court. If the team can stay healthy and focused on
winning, don't be surprised to see Postville find their way into the weekly
rankings this season.
