If Russians siege Kyiv, the West will fly to Kyiv with food, medicine and supplies, ala Berlin. If Russia attempts to harass or shoot planes down, they’ll have to establish a partial no fly zone, and prove will by shooting down Russian planes and perhaps even attacking AA missle launchers on the ground …..

The problem is that Putin knows that NATO would literally destroy 70% of his conventional armored forces with only air power within a week. The Ukrainian s are doing damage by guerilla warfare and shoulder launched missiles. Being that they are now a bankrupt economy … he has nowhere else to turn. He’ll play the tactical nuke card.
I think Putin's KGB friends in St. Petersburg are re-evaluating their stance. Don't believe they are wanting to be named as "War Criminals" along with their buddy. It didn't go too well for the Nazis. Putin's generals are probably looking at this situation too.
I believe that has to be UN intervention not EU or NAT . Like the Balkans and breakup of Czech republics. If they refuse humanitarian aid - the shit hits the fan - the UN boots Russia as a rogue state… then just waits for their Afghanistan / VietNam moment. There will be covert action by NATIONAL armed paramilitary militias. Eventually the economy will collapse, they lose all their equipment and body bags start piling up.

We should respond with humanitarian aid and call Putin’s bluff.
Then it will be up to all of the rest of the Russians to prevent that. That's the real obstacle that Putin is facing.
If we stand up as IPD says with humanitarian aid, Putin is in a no-win situation. He can absolutely lose but he cannot win. The west can win in such a situation.
