It's Texas, I get it...truckloads of money. But this is a mistake. The culture at UTx is beyond fvcked. No one will be successful there until the culture changes and the PTB at UTx are determined that a coach will not change that culture.
They don't need a coach with experience. There are kindergarten teachers all over Texas with the skillset they require.

I wish him the best... he’s been great for us. Fun to watch... but UTex has worse internal politics than AU. Urban Meyer told them both to FO for a reason. It’s good money $50M /5.. but ultimately It’s a career ender if he doesn’t get to the CFP.
Really hope that is true. I absolutely understand the temptation but there's very little chance of longterm success at UTx.

Herman was making 6 million per reduced to 5.8 because of covid. I doubt they will pay Sark more and it could absolutely be less. That's a lot of money to be sure but he was making 2.5 per in a pretty stable environment.
If the crap we're hearing about why Herman was fired is true, there is little chance of long-term success for Sark in Austin...or for anyone else for that matter.
If he just had a burning desire to be a HC again, I get it. Maybe that's my disconnect...I wouldn't if I was in his shoes. Different strokes and good luck to him personally...but F UTx on general principle.
