Joey has reason to be excited. It does seem like RSM has turned the corner and has put together a string of good teams over the past seven years. However, dynasty was not the word he probably should have used. In the 1980's, RSM won three state championships in a row. Though they have begun to make it back to the state tournament, they are still far from the success of their 80's teams.
That being said, the future is bright for the Hawks. It will be interesting, however, to see how Gehlen's baseball team changes with the closure of Spalding and their students being sent to Gehlen.
