NCC 12-13

Wide open. Clear Lake, St. Edmond, Garrigan seem to always contend. Humboldt could be right in there.,

Garrigan may not win it, but will be in the top 3 of the league. Coach Rob is to good of a coach to let them slip to far after last year. Will miss Austins pitching, but there are some younger hitters that replace a few automatic outs in the lineup.

I agree that this conference is wide open. The NCC lost a lot of talent due to graduation and it will be interesting to see who rises to the top when all is said and done.

Wild game in W.C. Wed.nite: SE up 4-3 bottom of 7. First two batters go down easily. #9 hitter up for the Lynx. Count is quickly 1-2 on two horrendous swings. Next pitch: A moonball deep to left field, HR, tie game! Gaels go scoreless in the top of the 8th. Bottom of the 8th, the Lynx get the leadoff batter on, only to get him picked off. Next batter (Mossman) reaches on an infield single. With two outs, the runner at first attempts a steal of second. The throw to second shorthops the bag going into the outfield. Mossman never slows, rounds second and is safe at third when he kicks the ball out of the glove. Two pitches later, a wild pitch, Mossman scores and the Lynx win. I'm guessing that is Webster City's first win over S.E. in several years?
