I am going to once again run the D2 picks and discussion.

Each week will pick the winners of the D2 games. After week two each non-district game in D1-8 will be added to the D2 games. This will add a few more games, thus giving those people picking time to rise and fall accordingly. Just pick the winning team, but discussion and score predictions are fun.

Week One

ADM @ Perry --------With Whiton gone Perry struggles on offense. They can't hang with ADM in week one----ADM wins 20-0

Algona @ Forest City--------Both squads were down last year- both teams working towards better years. Bulldogs get one 14-8

Ballard @ Boone----Boone will rely heavily on the Schminke to Anderson combination though the air. But can they stop anyone? With a difficult schedule the boys from Boone struggle. Ballard--42-14

Carroll @ Kuemper---Bitter cross town rivals!! Bragging rights!!! Carroll lost a lot off last years 10-2 team. Tigers survive---20-13

Gilbert @ Webster City--Gilbert returns top playmakers Drzycimski at QB and Dvorak at RB and a 38-6 win over the Lynx, all looks good-----Not so fast my friend-Lynx might be real good---Webster City wins 35-30

Greene Co @ South Central Calhoun--With Whipple #10 back at QB hopes are high for another playoff run. SSC is always tough, but the guys from Jefferson win a wild one--28-27

Humboldt @ Spencer----The return of Humboldt's Thomas at QB and top rusher McBeth will be helpful. Cats lost a lot to graduation. It will be closer than last year. Cats win 21-16

Esterville Lincoln Central @ Algona-- Algona has size on the line this year, and along with Arrowood's speed it could be a good combo- Algona 49 Esterville Lincoln Central 20

Harlan @ Carroll-- Harlan rolled through Denison but Carroll is still a couple steps ahead- Carroll 35 Harlan 14

Humboldt @ Garner Hayfield Ventura--Humboldt cleans up their game after last week's loss to Spencer- Humboldt 27 GHV 8

Kuemper @ Greene County-- A very intriguing match up but I will give the slight edge to Greene County based on Whipple's performance last week- Greene County 14 Carroll Kemper 13

Perry @ North Polk-- Perry's offense gets going a little better this week and handles North polk- Perry 29 North Polk 14

Esterville Lincoln Central @ Algona--BC Moore has Esterville favored by 58 pts., but I say Algona strong arms the midgets.

Harlan @ Carroll--Big week two game!! Carroll will go with a heavy dose of Pauk. Harlan fans are fired-up. Harlan may be back! Harlan 22-12

Humboldt @ Garner-Hayfield Ventura--Thomas and the Cats go up top and can't be caught. Humboldt 28-6

Kuemper @ Greene County--Whipple does it all and Greene County hangs on late despite a great night with Kuemper's kicking game. Greene County 24-14

Perry @ North Polk--North Polk has no answer for Perry's air attack. Perry 35-14

D1-Sergeant Bluff-Luton @ Sioux City West--SB-L takes down SC West and show they will be a big factor in D1 race.SB-L 35-12

D3-Waukon @ Crestwood, Cresco--Waukon is a 2A power- they flex their muscle over Crestwood. Waukon 32-22

D4-Cascade, Western Dubuque @ Marion--The wheels are off in Marion and alittle wobbly in Dubuque. Western Dubuque wins 7-6

D5-Fairfield @ Knoxville--It was close last year and will be closer this year, but Knoxville 3-0?!!!! not so fast. Fairfield wins14-12

D8- Harlan @ Lewis Central--A battle of two powers!!, but Harlan is more worried about big District games coming up! CB Lewis Central wins 28-10
