Why do rich Canadians have American doctors?

Back a few years ago there was a statistic that roughly 150k Canadians had health insurance policies for AMERICAN diagnostic clinics. Just getting a diagnostic test could take months or a year in Canada. Free healthcare ain't so free after all.
It's even worse in the UK... if you call for an ambulance b/c you fell off a ladder and broke your leg, that is considered 'non-life threatening' and it may take up to 24 hours before one is sent. Simply insane.

My idiot lib sister in law blabs about healthcare in the US all the time.
But when her canauk relatives needed a specialist - they came to the US for treatment. Wait in Canada was too long. They were able to get a slot in two weeks here in the US for surgery.
Can’t fix stupid/stubborn.
