What teams in this class do you feel will finish the regular season undefeated? Make your case.....

Exira, Freemont-Mills, Don Bosco, Janesville, Coon-Rapids Bayard if they can beat Glidden-Ralston, and the winner of Turkey Valley and Central Elkader.

I pretty much agree with this, although I'll say the winner of Don Bosco and HLV. Nobody in that district can touch those two. Side note on HLV: has Tanner Strudthoff been dinged up? He had no stats for the first two games, then ran for 162 and 3 TD's in Week 3, and was conspicuously absent from the box score again last week. Just curious what the issue is with him and whether it's something that's going to be an issue in two weeks when they go to Gilbertville.

Although I don't think Don Bosco is as good as last year, I DEFINETLY think Don Bosco is better then HLV.
They might be better, but I don't think the gap is huge, and anything can happen on a given night. If HLV pulls off the upset (while I wouldn't favor them, I think they're capable of doing it), I don't see them getting beat by anyone in the regular season.

Yeah I would agree with that. I just can't see HLV beating Don Bosco. But, like you said, anything can happen on a given night so I guess we'll just have to wait and find out.

I feel don bosco will not go undefeated. If they do they will not make it to the dome. I say they lose in the quarter finals

Strudthoff slipped up in the offseason and ended up with a two-game suspension to start the season which would explain why he did not play the first two games. Tanner missed last week's game against Tri-County due to an injury and I actually just got off of the phone with him and he told me he would be very shocked if he played this week's game against Grand View Christian due to the same injury.

Sounds like Coach Smith is banking on Strudthoff healing up for the showdown in Gilbertville. With that being said, I'm very confident he will have the boys in red fired up and focused on the task at hand this Friday in Victor for homecoming, which is GVC. I can almost bet that the HLV guys have heard "Homecoming doesn't mean squat if you don't win the game on Friday," from Coach Smith about a million times already this week and will hear it a million more in the next couples of days

Best of luck to all teams in their Week 5 games!

I'd be shocked if Don Bosco lost. The only down side Don Bosco has is there lack of passing. Svaboda clearly doesn't seem comfortable enough to let the ball fly, and without Zach Hickson (his best returning receiver) he may not be comfortable at all passing.

I don't know why he's not playing, but the kid has been in the weight room in the off season. When he gets back, hopefully before the HLV game, he's going to a major player for the Dons on Offense, and Defense.

Certainly hope he's 100% next week. I've been looking forward to making the trip for that game all offseason.

Pretty sure the majority of football players were in the weight room this offseason.

There was a time at Don Bosco that it was the complete opposite. Maybe one or two kids would show up, three on a good day. Unfortunately, one kid never saw the field and another had his career ended on a clip against Belle Plaine (wasn't called).

Coach Yoder has done a great job of garnering interest in the football program and getting kids dedicated. Before he showed up, there was some talk around town about getting rid of football all together. It goes to show how far winning goes for a program.
