What HS Quarterback would you want to build your team around in 2014?

I'd take Boyle from Dowling Catholic. He is super athletic and already won a championship at the highest level in the state. I like Cook from Regina too but I believe he will end up playing TE at Iowa in my opinion. You can't go wrong with either one. I'd still take Boyle#1 and #2 Cook. I don't know much about any other returning qb's in the state. I've heard that CR Washington has a solid qb coming back as well.

Others are being told Cook is being brought in as a TE. You couldn't go wrong either way.

Boyle and Cook are the two obvious choices, but a couple other to think about Tillo from SC North, Brandsfield from Norwalk (started as a freshman last year), Ferkin from Waukee, Brock Adams from Clear Lake, and Velky from Waverly

Drew Cook making national lists of top players this off-season, and it sounds like Regina is working hard in the off-season to put together another great season.

Drew Cook proved last season as the quarterback for the undefeated Regina football team that he was among the top high school players in Iowa.
ESPN.com ranks him even higher than that.
It ranks Cook, who is committed to Iowa, as the 281st best prospect nationally in the 2015 senior class. The 6-foot-5, 205-pound Cook is the only player from Iowa to be ranked among the top 300 prospects. He also is one of just 11 players from eight Midwestern states to make the list.

"Our student-athletes are dedicated and work very hard, so anytime that they get recognition for their efforts we are very pleased," said Drew Cook's father Marv Cook, who also is the football coach at Regina. "Drew, along with his teammates, are taking advantage of the offseason to attend camps, participate in strength and speed development, as well as participating in other sports in order to continue to improve."

Drew Cook is coming off a junior season in which he led Regina to the Class 1A title and to a 14-0 record while compiling more than 3,000 total yards. He also averaged 25 points per game for the Regina basketball team that finished 19-4 last season.

I think you flip a coin between Cook and Boyle. I think this time next year, Brandsfield might be the obvious choice; he had a very good freshman year and should only get better, but I don't see him surpassing either Boyle or Cook this year.
