Went to a JV game tonight - Harlan Community vs. SBL, and several senior listed players on SBL's JV team, hmmm. Anyhow, final score was Harlan Community - 48 and SBL - 12

cyclones running back on jv, schmitz,,,,,,he played in some of the varsity games. i sometimes think he is just about as good as the starter...very tough, hardnosed runner that is hard to tackle...when i watch him in the varsity games, i wonder sometimes why he does not start

I've seen situations where a program was only dressing 16-17 kids for a JV game, so having a senior or two play JV just to give them some depth wasn't a bad idea. Otherwise, seniors playing JV is just taking reps away from an underclassmen who will still be in your program for 1-2 more years.

Or rewarding a senior who has played all 4 years and works hard, but isn’t good enough to make the varsity roster.

why has harlan,s jacob birch not seen the ball this much so far...they go to sears all the time...jacob seems to be forgotten this year...and he is so good​
