you have Baxter at #10 fair but they were not ranked last week as it says.To bad it will not matter for them since they state said they would not be eligible for the playoffs. Why is that? can some one answer that for me?

First, regarding the rankings, Luke had them #10 last week, though they weren't in the official rankings until this week.

Second, regarding the playoffs, when they split from Collins-Maxwell, they did it mid-year of the district realignment, and the state denied their waiver to be eligible. Now, part of me thinks that's fair, they ruled, it's over. However, given the amount of movement, even in the off years, they had the ability to put them in a district and solve the problem. I mean, they're playing everyone in District 4 except Iowa Valley anyway and have beaten both of the top 2 teams in that district on the road. I guarantee they would have given up one of their home games and played IV on the road if the trade was a chance at the playoffs.

Baxter is a good team and deserves to be noted. That Midland game could have gone either way. Midland could not stop Baxter's passing and Baxter couldn't stop Midlands run game. Both are leading the state in those categories (In all classes). Playoffs rules are, however, unbending especially for teams that move down after the districts are set. Too bad they could not have made this move during a district realignment year. Next year they will be good to go so they can make their mark then.
