Well now that practice is officially underway for the whole state, what are some games that catch your eyes week one?

No idea what teams have coming back, but scrolling the schedules the one that jumped out to me the most would be...

Earlham taking on Van Meter .

Pekin against Sigourney-Keota , Bellevue @ Ed-Co, East Buc @ Maq Valley would also be in consideration for viewing, if I didn't have plans to be in Vinton for another Battle of the Open Seas, when the Vikings host the Alburnett Pirates!

@Sev393 Earlham taking on Van Meter should be a great, and physical game. I think it will determine a lot for both teams.

Bishop Garrigan @ Emmetsburg should be a good week 1 game to watch. Both teams have good football traditions. Emmetsburg’s senior class got a lot of experience as juniors a season ago that will help them compete in their Class 1A district. Nonetheless it’ll be a good game for both teams to see what they’re capable of.
