West Branch should be higher, they have been impressive

Anyone smell the sarcasm this dude is cooking?
West Branch is not a top 10 team yet. I watched them against Jesup. Yes they won 47-0. It should've been worse. They still make young mistakes. The Bears may be a top 10 if they can win the next 2 games. Time will tell.

Welcome back, no sarcasm intended. Their ability to throw the ball makes a huge difference. In my opinion the lack of a passing game has been holding WB back in big games. You didn't happen to answer my....... ahhh never mind for now. Good to have your insights back.

Great to have your approval. Means so much.

I sense sarcasm, hope so since you laid it on so thick. Can you explain why the county records in the situations you answered 10x seem to disagree with your expert opinion?

Please tell the class about your historic evidence, CID. We are all awaiting this life-changing information. EIHC would agree.

Once you share with the class we can all discuss it. I'm on pins and needles with anticipation!

It's public record, not difficult to find. Sale and purchase of home a year after transfer. Other family still owns a nice home in original town and the other address shown is for an apartment in WB. Do you we want to get into player living with parents and using grandparents address as well? If I am wrong I will drop it and apologize but I may need more than 'I have known them...'. None of these people are bad people or bad kids. It may just be an odd set of circumstances and I have been given bad information from people at WB. I will give it up if wrong.

What the only way I know it could have been legal is to be separated and one parent would have to lived with him/her(don't know don't care) claim separation, I have heard of a wrester who tried to wrestle 4 schools in 5 years, one school turned him/them down on being redshirted in 8th grade but another didn't care. M&D "separated" so he & a parent could "live" in district apartment later.

Family still owning the original house? Still married? I seem to recall from previous post great family etc..... Sure seems skirting the rules.

Anybody who doesn't know most if not all county recorders have a website so you can track all land transaction, I usually search county name and GIS.

So how is it legal for 2 kids to attend one school, and their sister to attend another? If that happened at West Branch you'd scream bloody murder.

Good diversion, both of my sisters went to a different school than I did. I don't believe I have screamed yet. Waiting for a clarification but not expecting it.

Oh and please let me know the next time I make an issue of someone transferring out of WB as a freshman. Perhaps you would be the one screaming bloody murder at someone pulling that off against WB

I'm not from West Branch, so not exactly sure who/hat you're referring to. But I'm very familiar with an OL (initials MM) who was at Pekin, West Liberty, and then Regina. He lived with the family of Riley Dixon. Was quite the scuttlebutt around WL for awhile.

It was interesting listening to a Pekin coach talking to him at Pekin. But it's only the private schools who does those things. If only they could get all state lineman, school record holders and starting quarterbacks with transfers skirting the rules. Life would be so much better.

Well WB did do it. Their current QB's brother went to City High and they now drive in from Iowa City each day to go to WB for sports. Because he wouldn't have played at City.

Interesting that you Regina guys are pointing out open enrollment players.

Remind me how many players that attend Regina are within the school's boundaries? I'll wait..........

If this is a Jeopardy question, I hope this is the Daily Double. I think I know this one. I believe the answer is, "what is zero," Alex. There are no boundaries in a private school. Am I right Pella Christian, Regina, Western Christian, and whomever else is on the board from a private school? :)

So you are saying Regina is following the rules set out by the state? and other schools are playing in the gray area of the rules? As far as your other example I would chuckle if a Div 1 athelete transferred out of WB. Good work. It's about time to throw out the kid that transferred from West in 2008. I appreciate the perseverance. Should I pre empt you and say Regina recruits every student that goes there, including athletes?

I leave for a couple of weeks only to return to the same BS from Cid and PineyWhineyHawk.
2 old men searching public records of families of former HS athletes to try and prove whether or not they lived in a school district?

Get a freaking life, fellas.
You are talking about open enrollment like its a bad thing. So a kid open enrolls to West Branch that lives in Iowa City. Wow. Isn't that the whole Regina school district?
EIHC and WBFollower have stated their information. You have decided not to believe them. That's a YOU problem, douchers (aka CID and PineyWhiney). Absolutely a YOU problem.

Do everybody a favor and never talk about open enrollment in poor favor ever again. That's a bad look on you.

All schools have students open enroll-private and public. It is a silly argument to have and only gets brought up when a program has success. When Regina was really bad at football no one cared who enrolled in that school, but the wind often flies the hardest at the top of the flag pole so the discussion only begins when a team starts winning. I think private school supporters get upset when public school supporters nag on the privates (giggidy) for open enrolling when publics are guilty of the same thing. My two cents.

Welcome back and let me say you weren't missed. As is your norm you really don't know what you are talking about. We aren't talking about open enrollment but you didn't catch that(surprise). Please show me where in open enrollment a player can play for their home team against Regina and 3 weeks later play for their 'new' team against Regina, ahh here you go it isn't due to open enrollment. The kid, like the all state player the previous year used an address in the school district to circumvent the open enrollment policies. Similar to a young man using his grand parents address to avoid the open enrollment process. Financially it's a loss for WB because they don't receive the open enrollment money that follows students, but they chose to circumvent the rule. As far as searching online records it took maybe 10 minutes to find out about when the homes were sold/purchased, and it has delivered far more enjoyment listening to the 'well I know them and I know the situation and it's legit' hell I knew it long ago and just listened to EIHC and his made up BS and WB lapping at his heels saying 'see he told you, that guy knows them so it must be true, you just don't want to acknowledge it' You know, I don't want to, he tried to bluster up made up information and hasn't been able to back it up, not a fan of the 'if I say it loud enough and long enough it must be true' crowd. If the information I have is wrong, so be it and I will apologize. Perhaps the WB supporters in their bitterness during this run shouldn't have been saying some of the unfounded stuff about Regina, it comes back to haunt you. Much like some of what I say here comes back to haunt me, well not so much but I am sure at some point in time it will. I have been wrong before and will be again. As far as you eagle, you are who you are, keep being that. I didn't realize you were gone and here is breaking news, don't like what I post or what Pine posts don't read it, there is no rule that says you must read every post. So if you have smack to run back run it. Part of being an old man is a little experience in dealing with people such as yourself.

Said player lived literally next door to me with his family. Completely true.

Giese and his parents lived in WB as well. In a condo. Completely true.

How's that for a MIC DROP, folks?

I'll go crawl back into my hole for another year.

Go Bears!

Bravo, welcome back. Don't stay away so long. Is that the Orange St. condo?

Anytime you want to come to WB and discuss this personally with me and the family involved, let me know.

You've now had not 1, not 2, but 3 people (including one dude that doesn't even live in WB) tell you that the families physically lived in the town.
You (CID) continue to say, "they used an address to circumvent the rules" argument.
I know BlameIt. I know the Koenigs. I know they lived next door to one another. I know that the family refers to BlameIt as "Uncle" (playfully).

As for the 2014 all-stater, they lived IN town all year.
That's not circumventing the rules. That's called life.
For the final time, there is a BIG BIG difference in a family moving to a town and a kid living with another kid on a team. One is legal. One is not.
