luke...i believe Sergeant Bluff-Luton is better than bishop heelan.....they are both good teams, but my vote goes to Sergeant Bluff-Luton ...Sergeant Bluff-Luton has a lot of speed, and harlan had a tough time with their speed, though i heard bladt made some changes after that game in the seconday

This Friday we will see who is better between those two.

Me personally, I would give the edge to Heelan at this point. Of course, I haven't see either play.

I think SBL has the edge, they've been tested. After getting destroyed by LC, they seem to be playing with a chip on their shoulder. SBL's success will be dictated by if they get down early. Heelan seems to be riding tradition and a physical run game, but have they been tested? They will be Friday. It's going to be a great game. SBL with the win, in a close game.

Should be a great game. SB speed vs Heelan’s power. SB has a great run and pass game. Heelan has a strong power run game and tough defense but the pass D is going to get tested by Dan Wright SBs qb that hasn’t thrown a pick this season but a lot of TDs. Heelan has top state sacker in Dawson Fenton and a lot of picks.
Game also has two of best rbs in state Brent Delperdang of SB and Heelan’s Tommy Schiltz.
Should be a good one and probably the first of two since both are playoff teams.

It seems Cedar Rapids Xavier and Lewis Central are the two best team in the states in most people's opinions. I'm curious if either team is going to face a real test prior to the playoffs? Both teams seem to be blowing teams out. Is there a formidable opponent on either's remaining schedule that could pose a threat?

Xavier pulled away from West Delaware after a tight first quarter last week in what I thought was going to be a good test for them. Their first two district games are Maquoketa (0-4) and Dubuque Wahlert (0-4). After that is a good Western Dubuque team; a Center Point-Urbana team that’s looked good so far (3-1) but I don’t know how for-real they are; and a Marion team that’s had trouble against really strong non-district competition (close losses to West Delaware and Clear Creek-Amana and a blowout by Solon).

So Xavier’s got to be the District 4 favorite, with Western Dubuque probably their toughest remaining game.
