Elite Player Rankings

Top 180 in Players 2019

Top 110 in Players 2020

1) Cedar Falls(Very deep and athletic with good shooters)
2) North Scott(No one gets more with less than Coach Budde)
3) Cedar Rapids Prairie(Murray Twins can go and Burg is a solid/quick floor general)
4) IC West(Bergmann and McCaffery will be in the mix in the end)
5) Waukee(Great PG and lots of length)
6) Davenport Central(Athletic and the surprise team so far)
7) Sioux City East(Tradition and Vanderloo is a smooth shooting guard)
8) Ames(Diaper Dandy in Lipsey to go with D1 Forward Kellogg)
9) Johnston(Well Coached and always have solid players)
10) Dubuque Senior(Carter and crew poised to challenge down the stretch)

Thoughts? Cedar Falls plays with college level pace and physicality...I think they have been severely undervalued by the pollsters so far!

The beauty of BB is everyone makes the PO's...so time will tell concerning "rankings". That being said, Bett's only loss was to NS...in OT...at their place so leaving them out when you have NS #2 is questionable...at best.

Leaving CF out is pretty egregious at this point. Only loss was first game of the year in OT to Waterloo West (5-2), coming just two weeks after most of these guys just played in the state championship game in football, and hadn't had a chance to get their basketball legs yet, nor develop any team chemistry in practice since they literally just started days earlier. Without that deep playoff run in football, this is still an undefeated team.

Definitely could have Bettendorf in there for sure. I just tried to have some balance with East VS West side of the state. Will be interesting to see if DJ and his questionable jumper can get to state this year...I think his talent is unreal and he can definitely get it done. They may very well be the best team in The MAC.

My top five are 1. North Scott 2. Waukee 3. Cedar Falls 4. CR Prairie 5. IC West

Probably about 10- 12 4A teams that could challenge for the title, just as in 3A. All good posts above, and I like Cheese's top ten, although I think Bett should be in there. Don't know much about Ames.
