Game of the week: West Bend Mallard @ MMC
Seems like each year for the past 3 or so these two teams have met in the regular season with a lot riding on the game. This year makes no difference. MMC looks to wrap up the district slate undefeated and begin to make another deep playoff run. West Bend on the other hand looks to try put an end to MMC's district title run and try to get the top seed as well. This game as usual will be very interesting as both teams seem to match up very well on paper. I see MMC just being too talented and will pull away in the 4th quarter. MMC with the district title.

Upset of the week: River Valley, Correctionville @ Ar-We-Va
Not a huge upset in the eyes of many, but this is big for me especially after Ar-We-Va struggled to compete last year in any game they played winning just one game all year. This year they stand a win away from making it to the playoffs as a 4 seed and having a winning record heading into the playoffs at 5-4. It doesn't get much easier in District 1 with these two teams. Win and you are in. I feel Ar-We-Va comes ready to play and gets the upset punching their ticket to the playoffs.

Game to keep an eye on: Guthrie Center @ Adair Casey
A little bit off the radar but this game could be a huge game in District 7. With the bottom two spots still up for grabs (assuming CRB beats East Union Friday) neither of these teams can afford to take a loss at this point. Guthrie its simple for them. Win and you are in as the #3 seed. Adair on the other hand would need a win and a little bit of help from the points system creating a 3 way tie and all the teams beating each other. This game gets even more interesting in that these two schools are just miles apart and have been rumored to possibly be joining in the coming years. Might be on the of last meetings between the two with huge implications on the line. Keep an eye on this one.

I see the Kee vs. Midland game as a very good match up being almost too close to call. Midland has been very good at stopping at the run this year and the word is that Kee's line got banged up last week vs. Elkader. Both teams need this one to get into the playoffs. It could be a fun one to watch.

MMC WBM will be a great ball game. Both defenses have been playing well as of late. It is going to come down to the turnover battle, which I believe MMC will win. MMC scores a touchdown off of a big turnover in the 4th quarter to put the dagger in the wolverines. MMC wins 35-27

Will be the first time in like 15 or 16 years that GC and AC have played. Back in the 90's, those were two of the local powerhouses and always ended up playing each other the last Friday of the season. Guthrie's '96 championship team basically 50-pointed every opponent and almost got tripped up the last game of the regular season and only beat AC by a touchdown I believe. Have been some wonderful games in that series in the past.

Pretty jacked for the WBM vs MMC game. Both of these teams are underrated. Both teams have speed and are pretty physical. This will be another shootout like the other games have been between these two schools the past couple years. I gotta go with MMC just because of their expierience. They have a lot of experience on both sides of the ball while WBM is still trying to gain some after losing their core last season to graduation. Experience seemed to kill WBM against GTRA and I think MMC will clinch District 2 and go into the playoffs with a lot of momentum

UPSET!
CCE over R-U. Still thinking that with this being CCE senior night they're gonna start out fast. Don't think R-U will be able to compete with their speed. CCE is the best team in the state to not win a game this season and R-U doesn't I'm press me. Playoffs are out of the picture for both teams but CCE never gives up. I don't believe R-U has the defense to control the Mavricks. CCE 56 RU 20.

That's good stuff! CCE gives up 54 and scores 10 a game...After 8 games they are finally gonna figure out how to score more than 22...which is their high output of the season. 56 could be a bit of a stretch. Good luck and keep motivating the rockets!

Pretty sure the Rockets have ZERO motivation after how this season went. They have been playoffs contenders for the last 5 or whatever years and then there season turned into a mess. CCE has been like this for the last few years and they have the motivation to change it. The Rockets have disappointed a lot of people this year and the Mavricks could very well come out with a victory in this final game. This is just my opinion and I maybe wrong good luck to both teams as they end there seasons

I love it as well. Always hate seeing teams go winless as its frustrating for the players, coaches, parents and fans to watch. However I feel RU will still be too much and should win this BIG. Its been a long year for the rockets but they will end this one on a high note. No reason they shouldn't have running clock going in my eyes at some point in the game unless CCE has about 40 trick plays that they run successfully during the game.

So what would happen if WBM beats MMC , that would leave all three teams at the top with one lose

If WBW beats MMC who beat GT who beat WBM

Depends on the score. If WBM wins by 7 or more they would be 1st MMC 2nd GTRA 3rd. If WBM wins by 6 or less MMC 1st WBM 2nd GTRA 3rd. The only way GTRA can get 2nd is for MMC to beat WBM.

I don't know the details, other that he got dinged up in the HLV win. He didn't play at Colo Nesco, and last week the Dons won via forfeit. I don't know whether he'll be back in uniform before the playoffs. I hope so...the kid is a stud football player.
