60-6. Mepo over Wilton. Squashed my worries about that real quick. Looks like a showdown set up with S-K for district championship in week 9.

Too bad it had to end with something like this.
2 evenly matched teams with radically different styles.
If WL beats Western, I wouldn't be surprised if this is a round 1 rematch in playoffs, & Western as the #2 getting sent on the road.
If WL wins there will be a three way tie for the district title. Highest RPI team will break the tie and claim the district. Other two will go into the at-large pool but they will both make it. D1 will easily get those three teams in. Interesting to see where the state will send them.
Mepo starting QB did not play vs Wilton. From the broadcast sounded like he was available if needed. Not sure if he’ll play next week as they play Van Buren. Should be another 50 point game. Maybe a couple series to knock the rust off but I have no inside info.
All roads are leading to week 9 for the district title. Should be a great game.
