Congratulations to LND and BC Moore, who won the week 7 contest with sterling 28-2 records. Only BC Moore
was able to make up any ground on CraigsNews in the cumulative standings.

Again this week, I made a careless error in presenting BC Moore's picks, and I do apologize to all for that. BC Moore did not predict Dike-New Hartford to defeat South Winneshiek.

Best pick of the week: BC Moore was the only contestant who predicted Central Decatur's
38-20 victory over Woodward-Granger. The rest of us were evidently
still twitterpated by WG's win over South Hamilton the previous week.

Pick that did not look so good Saturday morning: Lake Mills over Bishop Garrigan, Algona, by
luvRsports. (Lake Mills lost that game 36-0.)

How many games were concensus correct picks?

I'm imagining that the 30-game slate comes down to 4-8 critical games.

Thanks - Brent

20 games in last weeks contest were consensus correct picks. Pretty typical of most weeks. You are correct; after the first 2 weeks of non-district play, the contest hinges on a handful of games each week.

What I find really interesting about last Friday's Central Decatur / Woodward -Granger game is that all of the contestants (including me) picked a team to win that your system predicted to lose. And we were all wrong! I doubt that has happened very often - if ever.

because we all live and die by a computer's predictions.

evidently it is not as all knowing as CraigsNews, though
