Union @ DNH should be a great game that showcases athletes all over the place. These players will be familiar with one another as they are in the same conference for other sports. DNH hasn't had much a test throughout the first part of the season, so it'll be interesting to see them go against a more spread offense team. Although Union lost to Charles City last Friday, I expect them to get up for this game, especially with the RPI rankings on the line.

PCM @ PC will be another great game. PCM has run through their first three opponents, while PC has faced great competition in its early schedule. PCM has a really good running back in Wes Cummings that will need to be contained. Of course, we know what Treimer can do for PC. Can PC turn up the play for the third week in a row against a great opponent?

I see both VM and Woodward are 3-0. Already watched VM. Is Woodward a contender? Seems like they are on the rise but wondering if anyone has watched them play. I saw they had a nail biter (11-8) against South Hamilton. Might check that game out. I believe its at VM.

Woodward Granger has some young kids and make some mistakes, but are pretty solid. They out gained SH by almost 300 yards. SH had 1 first down in the entire game and their TD was on a fumble in the endzone. WG had 5 turnovers in the first half. WG is a good football team but Van Meter seems to be on another level from everyone in 1A.

Woodward sounds like an up and coming team. And yes, mistakes will happen with a young team. Looks like they have a decent amount of juniors playing and a couple of good ones at quarterback and running back. They haven't played a team this season the likes of Van Meter and I expect the Bulldogs to overwhelm them early and keep the foot on the pedal. It doesn't help that this game is at Van Meter. Experience and a winning tradition count for a lot and Van Meter just has too much for this younger Woodward team. But, it would be a good learning experience for them as they will battle I-35 the week after. Also looming for them will be PC. I will take Van Meter in this game over Woodward by at least 24 points.

Not sure how much of a game it will be between Mediapolis and Louisa-Muscatine. It’s L&M’s Homecomig, not sure why they picked this week vs Mepo instead of next week vs West Burlington.

As far as the 3-0 games, I'll take West Branch, Benton, and Van Meter. I won't necessarily predict blow outs but substantial wins for all teams.

Whole-heartedly agree. Blowout potential in any/all the teams.
