10 games pitting unbeaten teams against each other:

Waterloo West at Davenport North (Thursday)
Linn-Mar at Bettendorf
Boone at Gilbert
North Polk at Humboldt
Independence at Decorah
Mount Vernon at Solon
Washington at Grinnell
*Central Lee at Davis County
*East Marshall at Grundy Center
*Don Bosco at Kee

Other compelling games as we get close to the halfway mark of the season?

I agree Independence at Decorah.

I would add:
Grundy Center vs East Marshall....Grundy Center is playing bigger schools now. How will they do?

Gilbert vs Boone. One of these teams is over rated, but I don't know which.

Waukon vs. NFV should be a good game. I have to believe one of those two and Crestwood are the teams in the running to win that district after playing some really good teams to start the year for all three of them. According to BC Moore Waukon has played the toughest schedule in 2A to this point and Crestwood the 2nd toughest (same 3 teams as Waukon).

Entertaining game tonight between Waterloo West and Davenport North. North led 26-14 at halftime, and then West outscored North 22-0 in the 2nd half to win, 36-26. Waterloo West moves to 4-0.

CR Jefferson beat DM East, 24-8. Jefferson now 4-0 as well.

Knoxville beat DM Hoover 28-7 in a weather-shortened game that was called early in the 4th quarter. Both of Hoover's home games at the new stadium have been impacted by lightning/rain.

A few other games per class that I see as important

Class A
IKM-M vs Riverside: This game could really determine who is in the playoffs and who isn't.
Gehlen vs. Woodbury Central: Non District but I think you have two district champs going at it.
Pekin vs. Columbus: This game is for a home playoff game in my opinion.

Class 1A
Cascade vs West Branch: The loser probably has a tough time making the playoffs, I think this will be a good game.
Denver vs. Central Springs: Central Springs has been playing well and Denver hasn't is Central Springs capable of finishing in the top 4 of the district?
DNH vs. SF: I think this might be a district title game.
Pella Christian vs. Pleasantville: I want to see if Pella Christian has anything or if this is just a down year?

Class 2A
Van Meter vs Clarinda: Probably the district title game, but I think VM bounces back.

Class 3A/4A
Waverly Shell Rock vs. Clear Lake: I just think that this is a good game.
Hampton Dumont CAL vs. Nevada: Hampton Dumont had to forfeit their victory against West Marshall, I think this will be a good game.
Xavier vs. Pella: This always seems to be a good game when these two play.

Class 5A
All of the DSM Suburb powers seem to be playing each other this week, two other games.
Linn-Mar vs. Bettendorf: I really like this game, two undefeated teams, could determine playoff seeding.
Prairie vs. Pleasant Valley: I think that these are a two of the 6 or so teams that get in from the eastern part of the state, two very quality programs.

8 Man
BGM vs. Belle Plaine: Two schools that play each other in everything, and could be a district title game, with Montezuma being the other team challenging.
Montezuma vs. Winfield Mt Union: Non District game, but I think a very good game in the 8 man ranks.

I would add:
Grundy Center vs East Marshall....Grundy Center is playing bigger schools now. How will they do?

Gilbert vs Boone. One of these teams is over rated, but I don't know which.
Grundy and East Marshall are in the same district, so they're not playing a bigger school. And I think GC wins by 4 TDs.

I would agree. Should be a tight race between Waukon, NFV and Crestwood. I could see a 3-way tie for the district and it coming down to the 17pt rule.

Both Waukon and Crestwood played a tough non-district schedule (highly ranked 4A Decorah, ranked 3A Independence, and 1A State Runner-Up MFL MarMac).
NFV played Independence, Sumner-Fred, and Denver.
