Valley swept Roosevelt in two lop-sided games. Someone asked on another thread if anyone could confirm rumors that a bunch of Roosevelt players were suspended. The game details haven't been loaded to Quikstats yet, so I can't confirm. However, the scores would indicate that Roosevelt may not have been at full strength.

ADM took down DM Roosevelt 8-2, giving more credence to the rumors about Roosevelt.

PC got 3-hit by Ross Randall and West Marshall in a 5-1 loss.

The rumors are true about Des Moines Roosevelt. Multiple players (majority are seniors) from baseball were suspended including Swanda, Ballard, and Maharry, but also players from other team including softball, swimming, golf, etc. Team was forced to bring up freshman and sophomores to fill the roster.

Swanda played in game two of the DH against Ottumwa last night. That means he was only out 5 games. I have no idea what these players did, but it looks like they did not serve a suspension equal to one-third of the regular season.
