WEEK 1 BlameIt Rankings

Just for fun, I am going to offer my top 10 for Class 1A each each.

1) Regina - no brainer.
2) West Lyon - they lost a bunch, but Newborg and the tradition is enough for me
3) FDSE - losing a key OL and big Vinnie are tough to replace. But TJ O'Tool will shine
4) South Winn - who will throw the ball to Rommes? The QB if he knows whats good for the team
5) West Branch - 16 starters return and adding all-state OL/DL Jacob Giese will help
6) Dike-NH - I just love what they have going there; it will continue
7) AVOCA - Just fun to type the school's name, and they have a boatload of talent
8) Ogden - loss of Frye will hurt, but they return a lot of skill position players
9) Emmetsburg - Good group of seniors will battle St Ansgar for D3 title
10) Panorama - will take hold of D8 reigns and run away.

These look pretty good blameit.

After their performance in the dome last fall I'm not sure I would have AHST in the top 10 at this point. With what they return they may have a chance down the road.

I'm not sure AHST shouldn't be. They didn't look good at the Dome last year, but that West Lyon team was pretty special and made BGM look awful, too. Hell, WL only allowed more than 14 points once all year last year (AHST scored 21) and they beat Sioux Center (a 2A semifinalist) by 24 points.
