I am guessing some teams may have intrasquad or other scrimmages lined up for tomorrow. Some of you may be attending. I'd be interested to hear from people tomorrow what their observations are. So....feel free to share them here. Hopefully, all teams stay healthy heading in to week 1.

Anything interesting at Week 0 games (if any) or scrimmages last night. Curious to hear how things went for various teams.

I wasn't there, but I talked to people who watched Pella Christian (1A) scrimmage at Grinnell (3A), and it wasn't even close. PC scored with ease while platooning the QB position between Noah Treimer, who is a great athlete with excellent running ability, and Brett Roose, a lefty with better passing ability.

A parent told me that PC owned both lines of scrimmage. I understand that Grinnell is down, but that is a school more than twice PC's size, I believe.

PC lost a lot from last year's team, but they will still be a very good team again this year. They will have a different offensive approach than the past 3 years when they had David Kacmarynski at QB and Levi Jungling as a receiver, but they have the athletes to compete well in their district. They open the season with a non-district match-up against Prairie City-Monroe (2A) and have Pleasantville in their district, but I expect that they will be strong in the regular season and a tough out come playoff time.

Thanks. Interesting to hear. PC was great last year and I know lost many players. Sounds like they are able to reload this year.
