A week into the season doesn't give us much of a sample size and makes it pretty hard to predict these rankings. Can't really argue with you. Hard to keep WL off #2 with an impressive win. Week #2 should tell us a bit more as far as the contenders and pretenders. Denver with what would appear to be an impressive win also.

Hard to keep WL off of #1 IMO with their win ,Regina's loss and Van Meter squeaking out a victory against class A Earlham.

JMO but this week against 2A #1 BHRV should tell us more about West Lyon.

I won't disagree with that either. Hard too tell who is really that good right now. We will see how Regina does against what appears to be a very solid Solon team. BHRV and WL should do the same.

Earlham is going to be in the mix for a Class A title, so VM's tight win in week #1 is a bit of a Catch22 as far as rankings go.
I think WL, Regina, and VM are probably the class of Class 1A. For now.
West Branch isn't ready for prime time yet. In a couple of weeks perhaps they will be.
