I’m in DC for meeting at Postal HQ. They provided an update on their electric fleet. Going to start hitting the roads in FY2024 which starts in October. The estimated average miles per charge?

First off, my sympathies for your being subjected to the Swamp City. Secondly, how much are the taxpayers being soaked for not only the EV’s but the infrastructure to charge all of them?I’m in DC for meeting at Postal HQ. I love DC. Just don’t care for the residents iykwim. They got $3B total. $1.3 for the vehicles and $1.7B for infrastructure. And by the way, the current Postmaster General is a total dick.First off, my sympathies for your being subjected to the Swamp City. 167? What location? We are designing the infrastructure for several of the new SDC facility renovations, which include the charging stations for the NGEV vehicle program. 167 chargers at one location = about $2 million, including new electrical service
It comes out to about $12,000 per charging station on infrastructure
I don’t want to be too specific on a public forum, but it would be in WVa. 167 is near the median so far; the range has been between just over 100 to just over 200 per facility167? What location?
That is far more than anything we have seen or been told. We’re you involved with Athens?I don’t want to be too specific on a public forum, but it would be in WVa. 167 is near the median so far; the range has been between just over 100 to just over 200 per facility
Not involved in Athens. In several other states though. Realize we are talking just the charging stations….. that might not match current planning for purchased vehicles, but it is perhaps insight to what the eventual plans are per site….. One site is 208. We’ve made trips to other sites, but I haven’t seen all the rough draft reports/estimates yetThat is far more than anything we have seen or been told. We’re you involved with Athens?
I have got to look up the fuel costs. I have a feeling it’s a hell of a deal we are getting for electric. Oh I think you know EXACTLY what kind of a “deal” we’re all getting…I have got to look up the fuel costs. I have a feeling it’s a hell of a deal we are getting for electric. Not.
