Those top 4 are the dome teams. South Winn possibly could play spoiler to one team making it. We’ll find out about their team in a few weeks when they play at Wapsie Valley and then at MFL the following week. Thoughts on Ed-Co?

it seems pretty simple, if the top 4 stay the same. StA is in NW, Grundy in SW , Wapsie in NE, Regina in SE.
They would all be playing at home, so it would suck for teams travelling to StA and Grundy , but it would be a different team every week.

Or they bow to COVID19 and have teams play whomever is closest to them. 2 top teams from the east make dome, play 2 so-so teams from the west and then those top 2 east teams play for the title.

All of this assumes the rankings are close to being accurate. Is there a 1-1 team out west that lost to good 1A or 2A team for instance?

West Hancock is 1-1

I heard from a class A coach this week. He said it sounds like they will split the state into four regional quadrants basically right down the middle of the state vertically and horizontally. You would have a NW, SW, NE, and SE region and 16 teams per quadrant. Since there is only 60 teams in class A the best team in each quadrant will get byes round one. Now he did say some districts my get split up. Just because your district goes to one region you may just be far enough in another direction to go to a different quadrant. Not sure the validity to this but could be something.

The way you broke them up is great and the way it should be but we all know the guys in Boone will not do the thing they should. Wouldn’t surprise me to see Wapsie south Winn mfl ed co and Saint Ansgar all in the same quad. 5 ranked teams in one quad sounds more like the dumb thing they will do.

Woodbury is 1-1 lost to 2A 6th ranked Unity Christian by 2 scores. I would say out west it comes down to LOMA Woodbury and West Hancock and St. Edmonds.
