Well, FL may not be as bad as LSU in the last year bowl but I do understand when you don’t have a QB and have to convert a WR who had not played QB since HS. LSU only had 39 scholarship players. LSU thought about opting out of the bowl game like A&M did but the SEC and NCAA ask them not to opt out. They were playing a good time and it hurt.

The NCAA this year changed the rule and bowl games would not count as toward maximum # of RS games.

I’m sorry but between the playoff format, NIL and bowl game overload, the entire “bowl season” has turned into a big joke. Star players on 7-5 teams playing in the “Nothing Bowl” don’t play because they don’t want their draft stock to diminish. If I were part of a NFL team draft committee I’d purposely overlook the sit outs.
