Does anyone know if there will be any TV or online coverage of the semis or the finals this year for those who don't have the dish network?

Should be on the Iowa Public Channel.

"Should be" is perhaps a correct statement. But they won't be.

All the girls' tournament coverage is still on IPTV, but the IHSAA wants more money. So they created the IHSSN (Iowa High School Sports Network) as a production entity, and then sell their coverage to media outlets. It used to be they'd just let individual TV stations around Iowa buy the telecast, but that wasn't enough $$$, so they sold the rights to NBC Sports Chicago. Your cable company doesn't carry them? Tough. You live in western Iowa where you have no interest in a Chicago cable sports channel? Too bad for you.

This goes for radio, too. If your local radio station covers semifinal/championship games in the Dome, they have to pay a rights fee to the IHSSN. And it's a significant amount, too. There are some media TV/radio dollars rolling into Boone this time of year ...

That is really to bad. Did they do this for Boys Basketball and Wrestling. However I am pretty sure Channel 15 Cedar Falls and KCFI will pay for those rights.

Cedar Falls is pretty good about showing all replays of Tiger sports events even after the season is over.. Thanks for the info on NBC, I didnt know that.

I discovered I can watch the games with the Hulu live tv add on. I think one could get a hulu free trial (one month) with the live tv add on trial (one week) to see the games.

PSVUE has it, all you have to do is sign up for an account and you can stream the games on your computer.

I actually had to do this for my aunt who lives in Central Iowa. She had media com and she was paying something like 200$ a month! We went and set her up with a roku stick on her TV and got her the basic VUE account. Now she can watch all the cubs games she wants in central Iowa. She gets NBC sports Chicago plus Fox sports North, Midwest, and KC. So she gets all the baseball she wants at around 50$ a month.

Anyone struggling to watch the games, just has to get creative and you can find them pretty cheap with the online TV options out there.
